MV is a registered local Community Based Organization (CBO). We work with youth and children to improve their quality of life through responsive and innovative health programming among under-served communities in Ruai. PLWD, Children, Youths and their Families are our primary beneficiaries.

LMV Strategic Goals include:
Providing access to Health services through that include HIV preventive services, economic empowerment activities that strengthens the capacity of household to fend for themselves through Improved livelihoods.

In the last 4 years, LMV’s total funding was approximately 7,292,000 million from various sources including the GOK, USAID Individual well-wishers, Oshawal, Weetabix Kenya, Afro Sayari.
Currently, LMV has two full time employees with 32 volunteers attached in different zones where we work. We implement children’s and youths’ program in Ruai Ward Nairobi County. LMV is currently implementing an OVC program through its sponsorship in partnership with the GOK and youth empowerment through partnerships with well-wishers and county Government.
LMV works with the Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Youths Affairs and Sports, Department of Children’s Services, and the local community administration in support of youths and children needs. We are a member of the Local Area Advisory council, and the Area Advisory council.

Child Protection
Advocating for Children’s rights and support for Orphans and vulnerable children.
PLWDs
Support elements of Disability inclusion in key development services i.e. Inclusive Education, Health services Access to decent work and employment and inclusive social protection.
Access to disability identity cards in partnership with NCWD.
Health
Health is our main Area of focus.
Develop awareness campaigns for HIV prevention, reproductive health; life skills-baseed education and sexual rights.
Support GOK in realizing 95:95:95 continuum of care.
Organizing events for public health along with government.
Youth Empowerment
Meaningful engagement of Youths through social economic activities and linkage to job markets.
Fight against drugs and substance abuse among Youths and support rehabilitation of drug addicts.
Education
Education Support for Orphans and Vulnerable children.
Child rights education and protection awareness at different levels and different stakeholders.
Advocating for safe learning places for children at schools and community centers.
Building on children self-esteem and confidence through education forums counseling sessions, campaigns, and trainings.
Development of children groups (Advocating for child assembly) and developing leadership skills in them.
Women Empowerment
Building the capacities of women and communities and their groups through economic empowerment initiatives i.e. engaging women in VSLAs and IGAs activities.
Household Economic Strengthening:
We treat it as a sub set of women empowerments though here our main focus is on the entire household.
Emergency Response and Preparedness:
Through WASH programs (I.e., COVID 19 Emergency response team was formed in Ruai Ward in a move to support the he Ministry of Health Fight against COVID).
Food support to the vulnerable households.
